September 2018 Action Item
After decades of persecution, the Montagnard Christians have fled Vietnam, established refugee status with the UN in Thailand, and are attempting to find a new home of security and safety abroad. Instead, the Thai government has rounded up nearly 200 Montagnard Christian refugees, including children, detained them in horrific conditions, and are treating them like criminals. Act today on behalf of these persecuted believers by writing to the Thai ambassador to the United States.

Suggested points:
- Indicate that you are aware of the arrests on 30 August 2018 of 180 Montagnard Christian refugees—including children—outside of Bangkok.
- Indicate that you have learned that the conditions they are detained in are appalling, and that the Thai government is doing nothing to protect or provide for these vulnerable people, despite being in negotiations to do this while processing them to move on to better lives in other countries.
- Respectfully urge that the Thai government act with justice and compassion in regard to the Montagnard Christians and all refugees, and ensure their safety, well-being, and relative comfort until they can find permanent homes elsewhere.
