February 2019 Action Item
Abraham Ben Moses is an Indonesian believer who has given up much to follow Christ, including his first wife, leaving him for leaving the Muslim faith. He grew up in a family of prominent Muslim leaders and teachers, and he himself has a formal education in Islam. But in 2006 he converted to Christianity after a year of studying it in an effort to disprove it. Since that time, he has become an active apologist for the Christian faith, participating in debates online and on the radio. It was an act of evangelism—sharing his Christian faith with a Muslim taxi driver—that led to him being arrested in 2017 and then sentenced in 2018 to four years in prison for that activity. He has a Christian wife, whom he married after his first wife left him, and she gave birth to their daughter while Abraham Ben Moses was in prison. He also has four grown children from his first marriage. Pray for God’s grace and protection on his life and write to him today to encourage him as he goes through this incredible trial.
