September 2020 Action

Sean Binder and Sarah Mardini spent 100 days in jail and now are fighting charges of "people smuggling" in Greece that could result in 25 years in prison. What these rescuer-volunteers actually did was spot boats in distress that had refugees on them. Sarah has already demonstrated incredible courage and compassion when she and her sister—fleeing Syria as refugees themselves—saved 18 people’s lives by swimming their sinking boat to safety. Sean also understands the enormous challenges refugees face as the son of a Vietnamese refugee. These young people met when training in Lesvos, Greece, as rescuer volunteers. Sign the petition today calling for all the charges against these heroes be dropped immediately!
