June 2013 Action Item

Pastor Chhedar Nhote Lhomi has been an active ministry leader in Nepal since 2003. Now this husband and father of 3 (ages 10, 8, and 7) is facing a 12-year prison sentence based on claims that he killed a cow— which violates Hindu dietary law—as well as charges that he has spread the gospel and made Hindus eat beef. A local mob destroyed his home and all his possessions. His children are teased at school, and Chhedar is greatly concerned for his family. During his imprisonment he has been denied visits from other Christians, though recently he has been allowed some visits. He is reported to be quite sad and discouraged at the moment. Pray that those working for his release will have wisdom, guidance, and be granted success. This month, we join with the Voice of the Martyrs to send encouragement to Pastor Chhedar Nhote Lhomi. If you would like to send a message and some scripture along with your note in Pastor Chhedar's own language, you can use this great tool from prisoneralert.com by clicking on this link at prisoneralert.com.
